    Description

    T
his 1 gram 24 karat pure "HAPPY DIWALI" Gold Note celebrates the Hindu festival called "Diwali."  This Gold
Note was produced by the New Zealand Mint which specializes in creating  commemorative Gold Notes with stunning color
    rivaling
Valaurum, Inc., with their use of exceptional design elements. Mentioned in early Sanskrit texts, Diwali is also celebrated by Jains and Sikhs, among others, and is a recognized holiday in more than a dozen countries. This Gold Note weighs 1 gram or 0.032 Troy Oz. and is 24 karat pure [0.999 Fine] gold. "HAPPY DIWALI" is known as t
he Hindu Festival of Light, when good triumphs over evil and knowledge over ignorance, under the Prosperity Goddess Lakshmi. The Diwali Festival is a very ancient occasion mentioned in Sanskrit texts. Diwali is associated with the Goddess of Wealth, Lakshmi, whose four arms are ever ready to bestow bounty on deserving people. During the Festival, people dress in their finest clothes and illuminate the interior and exterior of their homes with lamps and candles. Red and gold are traditional holiday colors put to good effect in this design. Known as "Minters of the South Pacific," the New Zealand Mint is privately owned and is the only mint in the country producing collectible coins and bullion rounds for several nations, including Fiji, the Cook Islands, Niue and Tuvalu. The HAPPY DIWALI Gold Note is protected in a Bill Sleeve attached to the inside of a Golden Life Card [see photo]. A label, what we call a "mini-bio," is to the left of the Note and briefly describes what the Gold Note represents and the origin of gold. Also included is a colorfully designed envelope suitable for storing the Note or gifting it to a loved one. [NOTE: The first two pictures of the Note are Stock Photos, but I Guarantee the HAPPY DIWALI Note a buyer receives matches the quality of the one photographed.]
